IF.COMEDY ‘BEST COMEDY SHOW’ – NOMINEE 2008

CHORTLE ‘BEST HEADLINER’ - NOMINEE 2008

‘TOP 50 COMEDIANS’ – THE TIMES 2006

The multi award-winning Welsh Misery is back on the road with his hilarious new

if.comedy nominated show.  Following a sell-out hit run at the Edinburgh Festival

with extra dates added due to overwhelming public demand, Rhod takes his critically

acclaimed new show to venues around the country – culminating in an eight night run

in London’s West End at the Soho Theatre.

Since his Perrier Newcomer nominated debut show - ‘Rhod Gilbert’s 1984’, Rhod has

been haunted by critics describing him as a serial fantasist of ex-prime ministerial

proportions.  This year, Rhod decided to abandon his fictional tales of Llanbobl, and

try living in the real world for once.  ‘Rhod Gilbert & The Award-Winning Mince Pie’

begins in a service station, at about 2.40am.  Armed with a travel pillow, a flask and

a very powerful torch, Rhod aggressively demands to know more about the

'Award-Winning Mince Pie' on display on the counter.  Suddenly aware of what he is

doing, he is forced to acknowledge that he may be having a very mild nervous

breakdown.  How did it come to this?  He doesn’t even like Mince Pies.  The pressures

of living in a tedious, pointless and absurd world surrounded by idiots have finally taken

their toll.  Perhaps he should never have left his fantasy world of Llanbobl in the first

place.  This is the slightly ridiculous story of how one Mince Pie broke the camel’s back.

On TV screens, Rhod has appeared on ‘Mock The Week’ (BBC 2), ‘Never Mind The

Buzzcocks’ (BBC2), ‘Dara O Briain Talks Funny’ (BBC 1), 'The Charlotte Church

Show' (Ch 4), ‘Live at the Fringe’ (Paramount & STV), ‘Edinburgh & Beyond’

(Paramount), ‘The World Stands-Up’ (Paramount), as well as a 30 minute special for

‘The Comedy Store’ (Paramount) and sketch performances on ‘Comedy Shuffle’ (BBC 3)

and ‘Comedy Cuts’ (ITV2).

"A virtuoso performance. Every moment is exhilarating, passionate and

sparklingly funny” CHORTLE

"Gilbert’s performance is powerhouse and this show is his best yet” METRO

“Gilbert has finally surpassed all expectations…exhilarating stand-up, sublime

storytelling” SCOTSMAN

“Face-achingly funny…the audience were genuinely weeping with

laughter” DAILY RECORD

Justin Moorhouse's Ever Decreasing Social Circle - 9.30pm

Join the star of CH4’s Phoenix Nights & 8 out of 10 Cats in his brand new show.

In the age of Facebook, Myspace and Bebo, Justin has decided he doesn’t want any

new friends.  He’s got enough.  In fact, he needs to drop a few.  His nana once said

you are truly blessed if you can count your friends on the fingers of one hand.  She

also said cats were magic and that Ken Dodd was her ex-boyfriend but that was

when she was a bit older.

So join Justin as he explores his address book and begins to purge.

Who goes, who stays…he decides.

“Comedic tour-de-force…brought a tear to a critical glass eye” HERALD

"Simultaneously down to earth and out-of-this world” LIST

"Easily my favourite comedian” JIMMY CARR

“Wonderfully cynical…high energy...an hour of fast paced fun” «««« BROADWAY BABY

Moorhouse's astute observations upon the ridiculous nature of Facebook other

internet phenomena are fun and socially relevant, whilst his infectious energy,

self depreciation and gravelly Mancunian accent create an easy complicity with

his audience” THREE WEEKS
